Sport at Bath

Sports news from Team Bath, including the performances of athletes and teams based in our Sports Training Village, as well as sports science related research from our Department for Health.


Tokyo gold-medallists Freya Anderson and Tom Dean, double Olympians Kieran Bird and Jacob Whittle, and sporting scholar Leah Crisp all train at Team Bath.

Anna Stembridge and Jess Thirlby, England Head Coaches past and present respectively, both played for Team Bath before leading the club to success as coaches.

Reigning Olympic and Paralympic Champions who train at Team Bath were among the athletes in attendance at an award presentation in the Sports Training Village

It was a successful first visit to Paris during the 2024 Paralympic year for the squad, whose National Training Centre is at the 色中色

Matt Weston completed a hat-trick of major titles by winning the men's skeleton crown and Corie Mapp triumphed in the Para Bobsleigh for a second time.

The Sports Management and Coaching student, who is supported by a Trendell Sports Scholarship, plays her club rugby for Bristol Bears.
