We have vacancies for a full-time Domestic Assistant (36.5 hours a week) to provide a high quality cleaning service in our student accommodation.

The 色中色 Accommodation department houses over 4000 students throughout the academic year and during the summer month’s external companies use our accommodation services for conferences, summer camps and away days.

About the role:

As a Domestic Assistant you will be required to clean student kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms in accordance with service level agreements and standards of hygiene and cleanliness. 

Other responsibilities include the setup of student and guest rooms, reporting maintenance requirements and ensuring health and safety within the workplace.

The residences are used by students and external customers and cleaning is required in some areas at weekends, therefore there is an expectation to work weekends on a rota basis. Weekend rota work requirements apply mainly during peak periods. 

You will work 5 days out of 7 and have days off during the week when you are required to work at weekends. The hours for this role are 9am to 5:20pm. 

Previous experience of cleaning work is highly desirable as is experience of working in a hotel or student accommodation environment.

The role

You will assist our Electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and under supervision, carry out tasks such as:

  • Initial Investigating, troubleshooting of, faults and problems (non-intrusive)
  • Electrical based compliance
  • Substation monitoring
  • Emergency lighting testing and minor repair 
  • Lamp replacement
  • Battery replacement 
  • Minor remedial repairs 
  • Assisting Electricians with Rewiring & similar installations

You must have

  • relevant work experience of electrical maintenance, repair, installation and fitting
  • a minimum GCSE pass (or equivalent qualification) in Maths, English or a technical subject
  • City and Guilds 2368 Electrical Installation Level 2 (or similar) 
  • NVQ Electrical Installation Level 2 (or similar)

Due to the geographical spread of buildings on campus a significant amount of walking will be required, and a driving licence is preferred in case of driving between sites.

0.6 fte (3 days per week, Mon, Tues, Weds) - fixed-term position to cover parental leave until June 2025

About the role

You will play a key role in assisting the Room Leader and team in providing high quality childcare and education appropriate to the age and stage of development of the children. You will work to maintain a safe, secure and caring environment.

You will be required to complete tasks line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. A core responsibility is planning and providing safe, appropriate, child-led and adult initiated experiences, activities and play opportunities indoor, outdoor and in out-of-setting contexts, which enable children to develop and learn. 

You will also maintain children’s records and carry out assessments, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery. Importantly, you will support the Room Leader acting as a role model in supervising and monitoring Nursery Assistants, casual workers, students and volunteers. 

You should:

  • be a good team player with sound communication and organisation skills
  • have knowledge and understanding of the EYFS curriculum with the ability to support the development of our children
  • have a relevant first aid qualification
  • have relevant qualifications (minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education or above)
  • be able to work in a team to observe, assess and plan as a key person
  • be able to produce written documentation to support the progress of individual children, being sensitive to their needs.

Key responsibilities 

  • Help to develop and implement social media campaigns supporting Team Bath’s marketing and communications objectives through existing and new channels and platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok etc).
  • Create and commission relevant and engaging content to reach Team Bath’s target audiences, helping to drive traffic to our websites and other digital platforms.
  • Monitor, listen and respond to comments posted on our social media channels.
  • Develop influencer relationships to increase community engagement and commercial sales.
  • Provide an active social media presence during identified events such as Team Bath Netball Super League and BUCS Super Rugby matches, and major championships.

  • Proven experience of developing and implementing successful social media campaigns.

We have an part time vacancy for Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to provide a high quality service in our student accommodation. You’ll have a key role in helping students transition from living at home to fully independent living and ensuring all our accommodation users have the best possible experience when staying with us.

As a Domestic Assistant/ Cleaner you will be required to clean student kitchens, bathrooms and bedrooms in accordance with service level agreements and standards of hygiene and cleanliness. Full details of this role are included in the Job Description.

The hours for these part time positions (27.5hrs) is 10am to 4pm. As this is a permanent day time role, if you are a student at 色中色, you may consider applying instead to one of our hourly paid roles. These can be more flexible around your availability (see ).

The aim of the academy is to create players that can win at major international events. The role is to assist the U18 lead coach in developing players technically, tactically, physically and mentally to be able to achieve these aims. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, which involves communication between tennis coaches, strength & conditioning coaches and the physios. 

This role involves coaching performance players in match play sessions, groups and individual sessions. You will also be expected to complete off court responsibilities such as goal setting and scheduling.

Being part of a large team of coaches the role offers opportunities to have cross over with other areas, which provides excellent learning opportunities. We encourage all of our coaches to contribute in team meetings and planning days. 

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • an enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated performance coach. 
  • someone who has the drive to become the best coach they can with the openness and will to learn.
  • a coach that can demonstrate high performance attributes from either a playing or coaching background.
  • a coach who is well organised with competent IT skills.
