Specifically, this will involve testing the physical and chemical properties of soils, earth construction materials, cementous materials (such as cement or lime stabilised materials) and other innovative construction materials.

The technical support involves maintenance and booking/scheduling of laboratory space and equipment, as well as providing specialist advice and practical support to those using the laboratories. • Be able to confidently and proactively engage users across all levels including undergraduate, postgraduate and research staff
  • Have sufficient experience in advising on best health and safety practice in the laboratory including review of risk assessments, COSHH forms and the safe use and storage of chemicals

You will receive training on the specific equipment in our laboratories and on the specific processes in our laboratories and around the University.
